Dick Shook is an artist, illustrator and designer who has worked
for The Jensen Group since 2000. Dickson Jensen, owner and developer
of The Harvester, says about Shook: "He's the best designer
I know. He has incredible vision and creativity. Nothing with
Dick is ever average. From the clubhouse
to all the homesteads,
Dick knows the real meaning of the word 'custom'".
Dick graduated with a B.A. in design from Iowa State University
in 1983. He then pursued graduate studies at ISU in drawing, painting
and printmaking. After schooling, Dick worked as a staff artist
for Bloodgood Architects in Des Moines for three years and then
moved east to Concord, NH where he worked as a graphic designer
and then eventually began his own graphics company. He provided
architectural illustrations, building design and presentation
graphics for architects, landscape architects and developers.
In 1990, Dick returned to Iowa and began Shook Graphics, where
he continued to provide illustrations and design for a variety
of central Iowa architects, designers and developers.
